Directions

The quickest route from Cape Town (2.5 hrs) is via Du Toit’s Kloof tunnel, Worcester, Robertson and Ashton. A more scenic alternative route (3.5 hrs) is via Franschhoek past Villiersdorp on the R43. Another approach to Montagu is from the east on Route 62 starting in Oudtshoorn (2.5 hrs without stops) through the Klein Karoo (Little Karoo) via Calitzdorp, Ladysmith & Barrydale.

 
When in Montagu...
Arriving from Ashton, turn left into either Barry, Church or Kohler, then right into Bath Str – The Vic is on the right between Kohler and Du Toit Streets.
Arriving from Barrydale, turn right into Market or Du Toit Streets, then left into Bath Str – The Vic is on the left between Du Toit and Kohler Streets.
